
Hon. David A. Melesco (Ret.)
Judge Melesco retired from the Danville Circuit Court in 2012. He served as a Circuit Court Judge for nearly 7 years after serving 11 years on the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Bench. He presided primarily in Franklin County. Prior to his judicial service, Judge Melesco practiced law for 23 years in Rocky Mount, concentrating on personal injury and family law. He also represented the largest bank in Franklin County, and he was counsel to the Town of Rocky Mount. Judge Melesco was a leader in the enforcement of ethical standards required by the Virginia State Bar. He served six years on the District Committee of the disciplinary system, including a term as Chair, and then served six years on the Disciplinary Board for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Judge Melesco also served on the statewide Virginia Commission on Domestic Violence while he was a Juvenile Court Judge. Judge Melesco and his wife, Cecelia, live in Rocky Mount, where they have raised five children. He is available for mediations in the Southside and Southwest Virginia regions.
