Judge David A. Melesco, Ret.

melesco2Judge Melesco retired from the Danville Circuit Court effective January 1, 2012.  He had served as a Circuit Court Judge for nearly 7 years after serving 11 years on the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Bench.  Judge Melesco primarily served in Franklin County, where he resides.

Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Melesco, (Ret.) practiced law for 23 years in Rocky Mount, Virginia, with a practice heavy in personal injury and family law.  He also represented the largest bank in Franklin County and the town of Rocky Mount.  He was active in the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary system, serving six years on the District Committee, including a term as Chair and then serving six years on the Disciplinary Board for the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Judge Melesco, (Ret.) also served on the statewide Virginia Commission on Domestic Violence while a Juvenile Court Judge. A graduate of George Washington University (B.A. 1967) and the University of Virginia (LLB, 1970), Judge Melesco and his wife Cecelia live in Rocky Mount, Virginia where they have raised five children. 

Judge Melesco (Ret) provides all types of mediation services, concentrating in the Southside and Southwest Virginia Area.
