Designated by the Virginia Supreme Court to hear individual cases in the cities of Alexandria  and Norfolk, and the counties of Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William and Stafford. Designated as a retired Judge to hear cases in the counties of Arlington, Prince William, Richmond; and in the City of Winchester.

LEGAL CAREER: Private practice in Arlington, Virginia (1968-1985). Represented clients in the following practice areas: medical malpractice, personal injury, wills, trusts and estates, real property, constitutional law, criminal, contracts, domestic relations and other civil matters.
